Presented at the 1984 Turin Motor Show, the Honda HP-X is a high-performance sports concept car born from the collaboration between Honda and Pininfarina.

The project develops and elevates previous shared experiences between the two brands. The car features a mid-engine configuration and is equipped with a special 2.0-liter Honda V6 Formula 2 engine.

The bodywork uses lightweight and innovative materials for its time, including Kevlar, carbon fiber, and honeycomb panels. The aerodynamic profile was designed to maximize ground effect while keeping the car suitable for potential road use.
