Duties, VAT and Customs

Prices and Value Added Tax (VAT)

All prices shown on the site are expressed in the selected currency and are inclusive of VAT , where applicable, in accordance with the tax legislation in force in the country of sale and the provisions of the European Union regarding e-commerce.

The VAT applied is calculated based on the information available at the time of purchase and may vary depending on the country of destination, the type of product and the status of the Customer (end consumer or VAT taxable person, where applicable).

For sales within the European Union, VAT is applied according to the current tax regime. For sales to non-EU countries, VAT may still be included in the price shown on the website, unless otherwise provided by law or specific agreements.

Customs duties and import taxes

For shipments outside the European Union , product prices do not include any:

  • customs duties;

  • import taxes;

  • local taxes;

  • tax or administrative charges;

  • customs clearance costs;

  • customs handling costs required by the courier or the competent authorities.

These costs cannot be determined in advance by the Seller, as they depend exclusively on the customs and tax regulations of the destination country and the decisions of the local authorities.

Consequently, any customs or tax charges applied upon importation are entirely the responsibility of the recipient of the order.

Customs clearance procedures and customer responsibilities

Shipments to non-EU countries generally take place using the DAP (Delivered At Place) method, unless otherwise expressly indicated.

This means that:

  • the Seller takes care of shipping the product to the destination country;

  • Customer is responsible for paying any duties, taxes or customs charges required upon importation;

  • The courier in charge (for example FedEx or UPS) may contact the recipient to request payment of the amounts due before delivery.

The Customer is required to provide complete and correct information for customs clearance (including, but not limited to, personal data, address, telephone number and, where required, additional documentation).

Delays, failed deliveries and customs hold-ups

The Seller shall not be held liable for:

  • delays in delivery due to customs checks;

  • requests for additional documentation from the competent authorities;

  • additional costs arising from customs clearance procedures;

  • non-delivery or return of the package caused by the recipient's failure to pay import duties or taxes;

  • destruction of the goods by the customs authorities in the event of refusal of customs clearance or failure to respond by the recipient.

Any costs of storage, return or destruction of the goods will be borne by the Customer and may be withheld or deducted from any refunds.

Check local regulations

Customs and tax regulations vary from country to country and are subject to change without notice.

The Customer is therefore invited to:

  • consult the competent authorities in your country beforehand;

  • check for any import restrictions on certain products;

  • check the applicable exemption thresholds or rates.

The Seller does not provide tax or customs advice and cannot guarantee the absence of import charges for shipments to non-EU countries.

Acceptance of the conditions

By placing an order on the site, the Customer declares that he has read and fully accepts these conditions relating to VAT, customs duties and import charges .

Failure to pay the required customs duties does not constitute valid grounds for canceling the order or requesting a full refund, without prejudice to any mandatory rights provided by applicable law.
