No War Factory – Curved Bracelet
Jewels Made from Bombs
No War Factory jewelry is made in Laos by local artisans, crafted from recycled aluminum from wartime ordnance primarily dating back to the Vietnam War. Laotian artisans create these pieces using a technique called a staffa (literally "stirrup" casting): simple clay molds into which molten aluminum is poured. The raw pieces thus obtained are imported to Italy where they are modified and embellished.
Each bracelet carries a story of transformation: from an instrument of destruction to an object of beauty. A piece of jewelry that is also an act of peace.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Where does the aluminum used for this bracelet come from?
The aluminum comes from unexploded ordnance mainly dating back to the Vietnam War, still present in large quantities in the territory of Laos. The recovery and recycling of these materials is also a land clearance activity.
Who produces these jewels? Is it an ethical project?
Yes. The jewels are made by local Laotian artisans who pass down the "a staffa" casting technique. The No War Factory project supports these communities, transforming war remnants into a source of income and objects of beauty. The raw pieces are then imported to Italy for final finishing.
Is the bracelet rigid or flexible? Is it adjustable?
The bracelet has a curved and rigid shape (bangle style). For precise information on size and adjustability, we invite you to contact us directly, as each piece is artisanal and may have variations.
Is every bracelet identical or are there differences?
Due to the nature of the artisanal process — manual casting in clay molds — each piece is unique and may have small variations in surface, texture, and finish. These imperfections are not defects, but the signature of craftsmanship.
Is aluminum safe for the skin? Can it cause allergies?
Aluminum is generally considered a hypoallergenic metal and well-tolerated by most people. If you have particular skin sensitivity, we recommend checking your individual tolerance.
Is it suitable as a gift or to combine with other No War Factory jewelry?
Absolutely. At €20, the Curved Bracelet is the most accessible piece in the No War Factory collection. It pairs perfectly with the Square Necklace (€45) and Square Earrings (€35) for a coordinated look with a message of peace. A gift with a soul, for those who love objects that tell a story.
